Balanced Attack Powers Wolfpack to 94–52 Victory
Bemidji, MN – The Oak Hills Christian College men's basketball team delivered a dominant all-around performance Tuesday night, rolling to a 94–52 home victory over Free Lutheran Bible College inside the Schreiber Activity Center.
Oak Hills set the tone early, building a 48–30 halftime advantage behind efficient shooting and relentless pressure. The Wolfpack finished the night shooting 46.7 percent from the field while forcing 18 turnovers, converting those miscues into 33 points off turnovers. Oak Hills also controlled the glass with a 51–32 rebounding edge and outscored the Conquerors 40–20 in the paint, keeping consistent pressure on both ends of the floor.
Junior Nate Vinson (Maple Grove, MN) led all scorers with a game-high 33 points, adding 15 rebounds for a double-double performance that anchored the Wolfpack attack. Freshman Joshua Deckert (Devil's Lake, ND) also recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Junior Lanygel McCracken (Pensacola, FL) chipped in 12 points on efficient shooting. From the perimeter, Junior Keith Wilson (Pompano Beach, FL) knocked down five three-pointers on his way to 17 points, helping Oak Hills stretch the lead throughout the night.
The Wolfpack continued to apply pressure after the break, outscoring Free Lutheran 46–22 in the second half and extending the margin to as many as 42 points. Oak Hills' ball movement was on full display, finishing with 18 assists, while their defensive intensity limited the Conquerors to 29.9 percent shooting overall.
Assistant Coach Nash Chaney praised the team's balanced effort following the win.
"I'm very proud of how the guys competed tonight. We had two guys with double-doubles and four of our guys scoring double digit points. They moved the ball well and worked to get the best shot for the team."
With the win, Oak Hills improves to 5–10 overall and 4–2 in conference play, building momentum as the season moves into its stretch run. The Wolfpack will look to carry that energy forward as Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action continues later this week as they travel to Ellendale, ND to take on the Trinity Bible College Lions in a weekend double header.
