Oak Hills Turns Focus to Postseason After Crown Contest
Saint Bonifacius, MN – The Oak Hills Christian College Wolfpack closed out the regular season Friday night with a road matchup against Crown College, falling 78–48 at the Athletic Center.
Crown jumped out early and controlled the opening half, building a 47–17 advantage at the break. Despite the deficit, the Wolfpack continued to compete and showed improved offensive rhythm in the second half, matching Crown with 31 points after halftime.
Junior Keith Wilson (Pompano Beach, FL) led Oak Hills offensively with 18 points, knocking down six three-pointers while adding three rebounds and two steals. Junior Nate Vinson (Maple Grove, MN) contributed 11 points and four rebounds, while Junior Lanygel McCracken (Pensacola, FL) added 11 points and five boards in the effort. Freshman Joshua Deckert (Devil's Lake, ND) and Junior Trent Huonder (Milaca, MN) each chipped in three points, and Senior Bryson Keepers (Sheldon, WI) contributed five rebounds and three assists.
As a team, the Wolfpack hit nine shots from beyond the arc and improved their shooting percentage significantly in the second half, but Crown's efficiency and rebounding edge proved difficult to overcome.
Oak Hills now turns its focus to postseason play as the team prepares for the upcoming conference tournament next week.
