Hower Gets Tapped for NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week
Bemidji, MN – The National Christian College Athletic Association announced its National Student Athlete of the Week awards and sophomore Caleb Hower received recognition in Men's Division II Soccer. Hower was named the Division II Men's Soccer Athlete of the week on September 23rd for his outstanding performance during the Wolfpack's first victory in program history the previous week.
Caleb helped the Wolfpack get past the Trinity Bible College Lions for the win which gave the Oak Hills Men's Soccer program it's historic first. His impressive 3 goals and 2 assists allowed him to help lead the team to the final score of 6-5.
Having been a part of 5 of the 6 goals for the Wolfpack, Coach Joel Juni felt that he deserved the nomination and had this to say about his player, "Hower is often one of the best or the best player on the pitch, but I've been most impressed by his growth as a leader in his second season for the Wolfpack. He has been an incredible team captain and we are blessed to have him as a teammate, leader, and friend. I'm looking forward to witnessing how he continues to grow as a player and leader during the second half of our season. He makes everyone around him better, including the coaches."
