Strong Performances at "Haunted Hustle on the Hill"
The Oak Hills Christian College cross country team continued to build momentum at the Haunted Hustle on the Hill, hosted by St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Several runners achieved personal bests, while others showed determination and grit on a challenging course against a deep field of competitors.
Leading the way for the Wolfpack was Noah Larson (Park Rapids, MN), who ran an outstanding race and set a new personal record with a time of 31:14.5. Silas Briggs (Medford, WI) also recorded a personal best, finishing in 37:37.6, showcasing steady improvement throughout the season. Despite battling shin splints, Hunter Briggs (Medford, WI) demonstrated resilience and team spirit by completing the race in 39:05.8, while Jay Mutazindwa (Gaithersburg, MD) reached an important milestone by finishing his first-ever 8K race.
Head Coach Randy McKain praised his runners for their perseverance and commitment. "Every athlete gave their best effort today," McKain said. "It was great to see personal records, but just as importantly, I'm proud of the way they competed and supported one another through challenges."
The team's strong showing at the Haunted Hustle on the Hill continues to build momentum for the Wolfpack as they look ahead to the final meets of the season with confidence and determination. The team's next meet is this upcoming weekend where they will travel to Dubuque, IA for the NCCAA Super Region being hosted by Emmaus Bible Collge.
