Wolfpack Close Regular Season with Strong Effort at the Fall Finale
Collegeville, MN — The Oak Hills Christian College Wolfpack Men's Cross Country team wrapped up their regular season with a determined performance at their final meet of the year, the Fall Finale, hosted by Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.
Two of the three Wolfpack runners posted personal records, marking an impressive finish to the regular season. Silas Briggs (Medford, WI) led the team with a standout race, cutting valuable seconds off his previous best, while Jay Mutazindwa (Gaithersburg, MD) also achieved a new personal record with a strong effort from start to finish. Noah Larson (Park Rapids, MN) helped pace Briggs through much of the race, a strategy that Head Coach Randy McKain credited as a key factor in Silas's record-setting performance.
Coach McKain reflected on the day, saying, "There were quite a lot of hills on the last loop of the course, but our runners pushed themselves hard and finished with some of their best times of the season. It was a great meet to end the season on for most of the guys as only Noah [Larson] is going to be running at Nationals next week."
The Wolfpack now turn their focus to the National Christian College Athletic Association National Championships, where Noah Larson will represent Oak Hills Christian College next week.
