Watertown, WI – It was a tough loss for the Wolfpack on windy day in Wisconsin against the Maranatha Baptist University Sabercats. The 90 minutes game ended in favor of the Sabercats, with a final score of 0-10.
The Wolfpack had a rough start when they lost Captain and top scorer, Caleb Hower (Rapid City, SD) early in the first half with an injury. With a limited offense, Oak Hills struggled to maintain any sort of possession, and MBU ended the half with 6 goals.
Coach Juni was proud of the adjustments the team was able to make going into the second half. "We did much better in the second half, especially considering we were without one of our strongest players due to injury."
The defense was able to hold the Sabercats without a goal for the first 30 minutes of play in the second half. Fatigue looked to play a part in the end of the game as MBU finished the game with an additional 4 goals scored in the final 15 minutes to give a final score of 0-10.
Goalkeeper, Kade Hanson (Thief River Falls, MN) ended the game with a season high, 29 saves in goal.
The Wolfpack will be back in action for their final home match of the season on Saturday, November 2nd against the Trinity Lions.
